Welcome to our research project concerning the financing and organising of senior secondary education and training in Victoria, Australia. The purpose of this site is to inform those interested about the current situation of senior secondary education and training (SSET) in Victoria. Findings will be constantly reported under the following headings -
- introducing SSET
- organising SSET
- financing of SSET.
Why senior secondary education and training? This is because it is the bridge between schooling in general and basic knowledge and skills up to Year 10 and tertiary studies or employment. SSET is where students begin to narrow their career paths and determine their major career direction.
